This ginger punch is so sparkling and delicious! It has malt, pear cider and ginger ale. I used frozen ginger to add more spice to the cocktail and amp up the ginger vibes. It is not too sweet though so this is great for parties and fancy occassions. Or for the picky drinker who is not an avid fan of sweet, fruitier drinks. This ginger punch is almost as good as my apple ginger beer mocktail and similar to my ginger ale spritzer.
I currently live in a tropical climate so it is hot all year round and malt is a really popular drink over here. Malt is like this carbonated barley drink that is so creamy and almost chocolate-like in taste. This ginger cocktail is quite foamy from the malt and ginger ale so a 3L jug is highly recommended to prevent it from spilling too much. Pear cider was what I found in the store but the most common cider flavor is apple. Adding the frozen ginger is highly recommended for serving. However, be sure not to leave it too long in the drink, e.g overnight, otherwise the ginger literally melts into the ginger punch. And this leaves a nasty yellowish residue at the bottom of the jug. Enjoy!
