It’s a lazy Sunday so why not make an espresso martini? This is basically a coffee martini which has been trending like crazy on social media. This drink is so refreshing and comforting at the same time! So it is definitely a top-tier drink to have in the colder seasons but a good option in the summer. An espresso martini is usually topped with coffee beans but I didn’t have that so I garnished mine with sprinkles of cocoa powder. It gave it a nice mocha vibes so it is a win-win situation either way.
To start off get some really strong coffee/espresso. Then you’ll need ice, a cocktail shaker and a strainer. Last but not least, you will need a martini glass. Keep the coffee chilled prior to making your espresso martini. Then you add the ice, simple syrup, vanilla extract (optional but a gives it a great kick) and coffee liqueur ( I used Kahlua). My recommendation for a simple syrup is my brown sugar syrup. You can also check out this article for coffee liqueur alternatives. Garnish with coffee beans or you can go for a fun twist by sprinkling a dash of cocoa powder on top. Just serve this chilled!
