This cranberry whiskey smash is the perfect fruity cocktail from transitioning from the summer to the fall. Definitely a good choice for winding down at a summer party or catching up with your BFF. It’s full of citrus vibes which pairs really well with the sharp cranberry. I love it so much because it is slightly sour and not overwhelmingly sweet. I think even the pickiest drinker will love this because the flavors are pretty balanced in this.
As the name of the recipe suggests, you will be smashing something. Any smash cocktail usually involves mashing fruits in a glass that the cocktail is served in. It’s really tasty and refreshing to taste the tiny bits of fruit as you sip on this. You will need fresh cranberries and a few lemon wedges to start off. The key thing is to mash the cranberries with the lemon and simple syrup. Whiskey and bourbon are interchangeable since bourbon is a type of whiskey, so you can use either for this recipe. Shake it well to incorporate everything nicely. The whiskey smash cocktail is then topped up with club soda for a sparkling twist. Use a whiskey glass or lowball glass since this makes a small serving.
