You might have tons of apple pie leftover this Easter weekend, so why not turn them into an apple pie milkshake? These milkshakes were made with mini Easter egg chocolates for a fun twist and texture. Overall, it is a very fun, family-friendly milkshake if you don’t drink booze. These ended up tasting like liquid pumpkin pie for some weird reason but it is super delicious, trust me!
The things you will need to make an awesome apple pie milkshake:
- Ice cream
- Milk
- Some form of candy or cookies (I used Easter chocolate eggs)
- Leftover apple pie which is broken into chunks
- A high-speed blender
Vanilla ice cream is usually the safe choice for milkshakes because it is very neutral. However, I used butterscotch ice cream because I thought the caramel notes would blend really well with the apple pie. And it did! I topped these bad boys up with whipped cream and maple syrup, and added extra crushed Easter chocolate eggs for a cool finish.
Please note that we are using leftover apple pie so you will not need an entire pan of apple pie. Blend the ice cream, milk, chocolate eggs and leftover apple pie until it is super smooth. Garnish your apple pie milkshake as preferred and serve immediately for best results. I used coconut whipped cream and crushed mini Easter eggs as my garnish. Enjoy, and Happy Easter!
