Delicious chocolate brownies with a fudge center and crushed walnuts. They take less than 30 minutes to bake and are so yummy. The nuts are absolutely mandatory because it adds flavor to the brownies. If you don’t like walnuts, you can swap them for almonds, cashews or pistachios. These brownies are great eaten solo or with ice cream.
Tips for a great brownie
- Sift the flour and cocoa powder for best results.
- Beat the butter and sugar for at least 2 minutes. This gives the brownies the yummy crinkle top texture.
- Avoid over-mixing the ingredients. Use a spatula wherever you can for brownie batters. Over-mixing it will turn it into a cake.
- Check on your brownies around the 20-minute mark. A sign that your brownies are almost ready are when your kitchen smells like chocolate. I always bake my brownies for 25 minutes because keep in mind that the brownies will continue cooking in the baking tray after it comes out of the oven
- When you take the brownie out of the oven, don’t cut into it right away. Let it cool so it can harden and you will have a easier time cutting through it.

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F/175C.

- Pour this batter into the lined pan from step 2 and bake for 25 minutes.
- Let the brownie cool on a wire rack then cut into your desired squares.
- Serve with ice cream or syrup of your choice.
