Air fryer chicken tastes like a cross between roast chicken and fried chicken. It’s very juicy and currently my top way of cooking chicken. You can use this recipe on chicken wings and split legs.
I like to keep the seasoning basic for good air fryer chicken. I use salt, galic, ginger, and cayenne pepper all the time and it never fails me. I’ve found that 20 minutes at a temperature of 200°C is the sweet spot for air frying chicken. It comes out juicy, slightly crispy and cooked through. Best part is you don’t have to flip it-you just let the air fryer do its thing and let it air fry for 20 minutes straight.
Tips for a good air frying experience:
- Avoid honey, and syrups (marinades are okay) to marinate the chicken as it makes the air fried chciken get a deep brown color which makes it look burnt.
- Avoid stacking the chicken on top of one another in the air fyer. This lengthens the cooking time and doesn’t allow the chicken to get browned evenly.
