Airfryer plantain

by Effy A

Fried plantain is my favorite food in the whole world. So imagine my elation when I discovered you can get the same texture of fried plantain in an airfryer without the oil. So it’s basically much healthier too! You don’t need to flip it either-you just leave it in for 7-8 minutes straight and you get soft airfried plantain.

To make this work, slice the plantain diagonally and season with a pinch of salt. Place the plantain in a single layer in the airfryer. If all your plantain slices can’t fit in one layer, airfry them in batches. Serve solo or with your favorite stew. I recommend my spinach stew, beef stew or beans stew. Have a look at my airfryer sweet potatoes as well.
