Shaved ice isn’t as delicious as ice cream but it can be just as epic! This watermelon shaved ice always cools me down in an instant and is so easy! All you need to do is freeze big slices of seedless watermelon and grate the red part! That’s literally it. The best part is when you serve it with condensed milk-so good!
if you can’t find seedless watermelon, try your best to remove all the seeds from the watermelon before you freeze it. Otherwise what ends up happeninig is that you will grate the seeds into your shaved ice and it is a pain to remove since it’s tiny. So get that out of the way before you freeze your watermelon. Next cut the watermelon into large wedges so it is easy to grip when grating it.
This shaved ice recipe works on other frozen fruit. I think pineapple or strawberry would be a cool option since they are naturally sweet. I’ve even tried this on a frozen orange and it was really nice. It will be featured in my upcoming book, Cozy Delights: Volume 2.
