Sausage pan pizza

by Effy A

This sausage pizza is almost as good as my pepperoni and ham pizza. I used thick beef sausages and cut them into thin slices. You can also dice them but it is a lot of work that way. It also comes with a thick crust that is absolutely to die for. Cheesy, meaty pizza is so perfect for the holiday season. If you have one hour to spare, making homemade pizza dough from scratch is so worth it.

You just need to cook the sausages before baking them on the sausage pizza to avoid food poisoning. The onions were also sautéed on the stove as well and used as a topping. The pizza dough is left to rise for at least 30 minutes in an oiled bowl. It’s best to wrap it with cling wrap and keep the bowl away from droughts or cold winds. Once it is almost double in size, punch it down and roll it out into a circle at least 13 inches in diameter. Poke a fork all over the dough to ensure it doesn’t get too puffy in the oven.
