This raspberry margarita is a good way to cool off on hot summer evenings. It is sweet, slightly tart and delicious on a hot evening. Margaritas are kind of fun to make in my opinion so I think this is a good way to close off the weekend. This margarita recipe is different from the other ones on the blog because it involves muddling (mashing) fruits to extract the juices. You could also blend this margarita for a super smooth finish.
To start off, rim the glass you’ll be using with coarse salt on a plate. You wet the rim of the glass with lime and then dip the rim generously in salt. You don’t need that many raspberries for this to work, just a handful. Muddle the raspberries with sugar and lime juice until you get a purée. Then add the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain the shaken cocktail into a glass filled with ice for best results. Garnish your raspberry margarita as preferred; a lime wedge or mint sprig would do the trick. Serve this delicious margarita chilled for best results.
