How to make a quick relish

by Effy A

Okay hear me out! So I know relish is best made with fresh cucumbers but I didn’t feel like going through that whole process of cooking cucumbers. And I really needed some relish as quickly as possible. So I came up with the idea of a quick relish. I blended pickles with onion and sugar-and it tasted just like store-bought relish. Just smoother and less textured.

Relish is a condiment that’s famous for going on hotdogs and burgers. It’s usually sweet and super delicious with meat. The copycat In-and-Out animal style fries sauce actually uses relish as one of the ingredients. I used small dill pickles for this quick relish recipe but you can use the large sized ones too! Refrigerate the relish for at least 1 hour before serving. It tastes better overnight!
