Hi there!
I’m Effy and I’m the creator of The Foody Bean blog. Making food can be fun and creative, which is the whole point of the blog. There’s nothing worse than coming home from a long day and not having anything readily available to eat. The Foody Bean originally started out as showcasing delicious food from restaurants around the city but I got tired of reviewing ice cream every week and focused more on homemade recipes. I really struggled with cooking in my early 20s and had old-fashioned ideas of what cooking should be like. Once I started this blog, I wanted to simplify my way of cooking and I hope I can set you free too. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest to get yummy updates on the regular! Be sure to check out our latest book for the holiday season, Cozy Delights!
The Foody Bean blog’s newest adventure
The Cozy Delights: No-brainer Comfort Food cookbook is full of all my cherished recipes from my three years of blogging. You will never have to wonder what you’ll be having for dinner again. There are recipes for drinks, sides, breakfast, lunch and dessert as well in this holiday cookbook. These 48 comforting recipes have been carefully handpicked by me and I hope that some of these will resonate with your taste buds. There are actually experimental recipes like my iced tea lemonade recipe-which literally combines iced tea and lemonade but may not be your cup of tea. That’s one of my favorite drinks to get at the grocery store. Then there are recipes I’ve never done before like my stove-top pumpkin macaroni and cheese. Whiles being comforting, these recipes also feel very fresh. They are “no-brainer” meaning that you don’t have to be a chef or have cooking experience to make them.
